PIN code

The library card is now being issued to all new patrons. This card is valid in the public library here in Trondheim and also at most other libraries in Norway. Children under 14 years of age, schools, day-care institutions and people who do not want to reveal their date of birth/national identity number will be issued a card that only functions in the one library.

For more information about the library card go to: www.bibliotekkortet.no, or ask one of the staff.

From now on, when you borrow books etc from the library, you will have to use a four-digit PIN code, both when you use the check out machine and the counter service. This will improve security for everyone.

You decide the PIN code yourself. Ask the staff for help if you do not have a PIN code or you have forgotten it. Do not choose a code you use in other connections, e.g. your bank card.

The PIN code will be used for the following:
1) Borrowing from the counter service
2) Using the automatic check out machine
3) When logging into our website
4) Using computers in the library

Always have your library card with you when you want to borrow from the library.
