Birralee International School was founded in 1973 to cater for the needs of international children in Trondheim. Today Birralee is a meeting place for Norwegian children and children from all over the world. The barnehage and school are well known for its friendly, open atmosphere.

Birralee International School offers full primary and secondary education in addition to a nursery class (4 and 5 year olds). We provide a secure and stimulating learning environment with international staff who are highly qualified and motivated.

We aim to provide an excellent education using English as the medium of instruction. We encourage the children to become enthusiastic and independent learners with an international outlook. We seek to make it possible for each student to fulfil his or her potential and to meet the children’s various needs: academic, social, physical, emotional and cultural so that they will develop an active approach to learning as well as a love of learning.

Birralee International School Trondheim ble grunnlagt i 1973 for å dekke behovet for skolegang for internasjonale barn i Trondheim. I dag fungerer skolen som en møteplass for norske og utenlandske barn. Skolen er vel kjent for sin vennlige og åpne atmosfære.

Birralee International School utgjør et fullverdig barneskole og ungdomsskole-tilbud. Skolen har i tillegg sin egen barnehage. Vi tilbyr et trygt og stimulerende læringsmiljø med et høyt kvalifisert og motivert internasjonalt lærerkollegium.

Vår målsetting er å tilby et undervisningstilbud med høy kvalitet der engelsk brukes som undervisningsspråk. Vi motiverer barna til entusiastisk og selvstendig læring med et internasjonalt perspektiv. Vi prøver å gi hver elev muligheter til å utvikle sitt potensial og å dekke barnas mangeartede behov: faglige, sosiale, fysiske, følelsesmessige og kulturelle, slik at de vil utvikle en aktiv tilnærming til læring og bli glade i å lære.
