Sports and Outdoor Life
Trondheim local authority is in charge of:- Six sports halls and 45 gymnasiums, in addition to renting time in private sports halls.
- One public in door swimming pool (Husebybadet) and three pools belonging to schools.
- Two ice-skating arenas.
- Three sports grounds: Dalgård, Leangen and Lade.
- Two track and field grounds.
- Granåsen Ski Centre
- 74 municipal grounds for ball sports (during winter most of these are converted into ice skating rinks)
- Summer: 460 km roads and trails for hiking and walking, and eight swimming sites.
- Winter: 160 km ski trails, 75 km of which are lighted trails.
