Covid-19 vaccine

All inhabitants in Trondheim have been offered vaccination against the coronavirus. You can book an appointment for vaccination on the digital form.

Who is being vaccinated against covid-19 now?

Everyone over 16 years of age can book a vaccination at any time. Children aged between 12 and 16 must have parental consent.

People who are 65 or older – third dose

If you are 65 years of age or older, you can book a booster dose (dose number three) on Min side (My page).

It must be at least five months since you received your second dose of the covid-19 vaccine.

If you have not received an SMS, and more than five months have passed after your second dose of the vaccine, you can still book an appointment.

People in risk groups – dose three

At least four weeks must have passed since you had your second dose of the covid-19 vaccine before you can get the third dose.

If you have received a letter from St. Olav’s University Hospital or any other specialist health service recommending that you take a third dose of the vaccine, you must register on the local authority's website by logging on to Min side (My page).

If you have received a letter from the specialist health service or received an SMS from Trondheim local authority, and you are in one of these risk groups, you must register on the local authority's website by logging on to Min side (My page).

Vaccines used in Trondheim

Vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna are currently being used in Trondheim. Read more on the FHI (Norwegian Institute of Public Health) website.

Book an appointment for vaccination


You can use the digital form to book a vaccination appointment. Log in to book an appointment for vaccination. Other family members can book an appointment for you by logging on to the website to access the form using their digital ID.


If you are unable to book an appointment on the internet, you can call telephone 90 50 90 52.

Things to know before booking

  • Can I simply drop in, or do I need to book an appointment? You can drop in weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 2 pm at the vaccination centre at Sluppen. But to avoid waiting in line, we recommend that you book in advance.
  • How long should I wait if I am going to have another vaccination? At least a week should pass between the corona vaccination and other vaccines.
  • What do I do if I need an interpreter? You have the right to an interpreter, free of charge. If you need an interpreter, call the corona telephone 90 50 90 52. They will book an appointment and an interpreter when needed. Interpreters and health service personnel are under the obligation of confidentiality. This means that they will not disclose any information about your health.

Cancel or change an appointment

If it is not possible for you to come to the booked appointment at the designated time and place, you can change or cancel your appointment by logging on to bestillingsskjemaet (booking form), or call 90 50 90 52.

Giving consent for vaccination of children and young people under 16 years of age

Children and young people under 16 years of age must have written consent for their vaccination from both parents. The forms must be brought to the vaccination centre.

For children in the care of the public authorities, the person accompanying the child must have written consent from the child welfare service.

Bring the filled in samtykkeskjema (consent form) and egenerklæringsskjema (self-declaration form) to the vaccination appointment.

Practical information: Arriving at the vaccination centre

Where does the vaccination take place?

The vaccination is given at the Sluppen centre, Sluppenvegen 14, NTNU’s examination building.

There is space for up to 300 cars in the parking lot right behind the centre.

AtB has a shuttle bus (route number 19) between Lerkendal and Sluppen. From Lerkendal buses make the return trip every 20 minutes from 07.59 am and 15.49 on workdays. See more information on AtB’s website

Does the local authority offer transportation to and from the vaccination centre?

No, you must arrange transportation to the vaccination centre yourself.

AtB operates shuttle buses (route number 19) between Lerkendal and Sluppen. You can find the timetable here.

What do you need to remember when coming to the vaccination appointment?

  • Be on time
  • Wear a face mask
  • Bring identification, such as passport, national ID card, driver's licence or bank card with a picture
  • Wear clothes that will give easy access to your arm, for example a T-shirt
  • Bring an updated list of any medication you are taking

Can I be accompanied by someone?

You can bring a companion if this is necessary. If you need to use the exit for people with disabilities after the vaccination, inform the guard about this on your way in so you can obtain an exit pass.

Can I leave immediately after I have been vaccinated?

After vaccination you must stay under observation for 20 minutes. If you have had a severe allergic reaction earlier, you must stay under observation for 60 minutes.

Can I come to the appointment even if I am sick?

No, you must be healthy when you come for your vaccination. You must not come to the appointment if you have symptoms from the common cold or other signs of infectious diseases.

Corona certificate

The corona certificate shows whether you have been vaccinated, whether you are immune after having been ill with covid-19, and the test result if you have a negative corona test.
