Guidelines for corona vaccination

Vaccination of children and young people 5 to 18 years of age

There are different recommendations for children and young people between five and 18 years of age. You can read more about what applies for you or your child on the Norwegian Institute of Public Health website FHI website.

Consent for vaccination of children and young people under 16 years of age

Both parents with parental responsibility for children and young people under 16 years of age must give their written consent for the vaccination. The consent form must be printed out and filled in before you come to be vaccinated. The form must be submitted to the person giving the vaccination when the child is to be vaccinated. For children who need more than one dose, the consent form must be brought to each vaccination session.

Consent

Self-declaration

People with a severely compromised immune system

People with a severely weakened immune system due to illness or the use of medication that supresses the immune system generally have poorer response to vaccination compared to healthy persons. This group also has higher risk of becoming seriously ill if they are infected by the coronavirus.
People with a severely weakened immune system are therefore offered a third vaccination dose as part of the basic vaccination, and it is given at least four weeks after the second coronavirus vaccination.

People aged 75 and over are recommended a new refresher dose

It is recommended to take two basic vaccines and three booster doses. A minimum of six months should elapse between the 4th dose and the 5th dose. At least three months should elapse between an experienced corona infection and a new corona vaccine.
